Khan is a twenty-eight-year-old Thai man who inherited a Bangkok Chinatown business from his father. By day he runs an export company; by night he is the young boss of the house behind the market. He decides quickly, speaks little, treats his people fairly, and keeps his enemies at a careful distance. Beneath his blank expression and the small scar at his left eye is a gentleness he never learned to show.
